Summer Solstice-June 20-21

Summer Solstice – also called Litha  – is the longest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere. The word "solstice" itself is derived from the Latin words "sol," meaning sun, and "sistere," meaning to stand still. This name reflects that the sun pauses in its journey across the sky during the solstice before changing direction. The summer solstice holds great cultural and spiritual significance. Ancient temples like Stonehenge and Chichen Itza were aligned to this celestial moment, honoring the Sun’s power and the mystery of the light.

This solar event is one of 8 Wiccan sabbats that mark the turning of the Wheel of the Year. It is heat and light and flame and dancing, burgeoning energy.  Our neighbors to the south are seeing a stark difference: Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year.  While Yule honors the birth/return of the Sun, Litha begins the cycle towards less and less light each day.

Litha, the Midsummer celebration on the Pagan and Wiccan wheel, marks the sun’s zenith—a time when Earth is lush, bursting with life, and humming with magick. Nature stands fully awakened, the days long and golden, and the veil between spirit and soil grows deliciously thin. Fire crackles, flowers bloom like spells unfolding, and the air itself feels alive with mystery. It is a sacred time to honor the sun god or goddess, to revel in abundance, passion, and the wild enchantment that dances in every shadow and flame

Litha invites us to dance with the faeries, offer gratitude for the abundance around us, burn away the old, and set powerful intentions with fire and passion. Bonfires, herbs, and solar symbols guide our rituals. It is a time for love spells, creative bursts, and offerings to the Sun and Earth.

Embrace the vibrant energy of this celestial event and allow it to inspire you to live in harmony with nature and celebrate the abundance of life. Let this Solstice be your turning point.

Until next time, wishing you a beautiful and inspired Solstice! Shine Brightly!

With infinite love, ~Debbi

Celebrate the Herbal Way

Now is the perfect time to connect with green magick. Herbs are now at their peak as well, both magickally & therapeutically. So, gather them up, cut that St. John’s Wort (the steeped flowers produce a gorgeously ruby healing oil!) and let the light, love & plant world fill you up.

What are your plans for Litha?  Dancing around the fire to conjure the magick of this midsummer night? Communing with the faeries?  Or making a flower crown...cause who doesn't like wearing one of those!

Full Strawberry Moon on June 11

Hello Magickal Beings!!!

I love the moon…As females, we feel innately called to her. She is magick and beauty, reflecting the wild woman who lives in each of us. On June 11th, get ready to embrace the vibrant energy of the Strawberry Moon!

The Strawberry Moon gets its name from the season when strawberries reach their peak bloom. Known as the Rose Moon due to the vibrant blooms of roses, it’s also referred to as the Honeymoon, signaling the beginning of the honey harvesting season. All the names point to the lingering sweetness around us currently. In Lore, this moon is also known as the Faerie Moon, ripe with magick, as the ability for communication with the faerie world is strong now.

The Spiritual Meaning of the Strawberry Moon

Spiritually, the Strawberry Moon is all about the energy of strawberries, symbolizing love, abundance, and renewal. The strawberry was a symbol for Venus, the Goddess of Love, due to its heart shape and red color. It should come as no surprise, then, that love, passion, and heart-centered energy are a central theme of the moon and the month. This is your opportunity to let go of what no longer benefits you and create room for love, joy, and all the wonderful experiences you’re prepared to welcome with the Summer Solstice and Cancer season on June 20.

June arrives cloaked in the energy of the goddess Juno—protector of women, guardian of marriage, and fierce force of transformation. The winds of change are stirring, and this moon, ruled by truth-seeking Sagittarius, does not whisper—it roars. It calls on us to shed illusions, to stretch beyond comfort, and to question what we thought we knew. This is not a season for small dreams. Luna’s silvery gaze invites us to walk boldly into becoming, to trust the alchemy of risk, and to meet our potential with open hearts and untamed wonder. Last month’s moon had us dance with our shadows; now, the light asks us to rise. Under this truth-lit sky, remember: if the dream lives within you, it’s already halfway real.

This is one of the sweetest full moons of the year. Go out and enjoy the sweetness that nature provides, and most of all, let love flow all around you.

A Lovely Ritual for some June Moon Magick:

June's Full Moon is a time for protection, making decisions, personal strength, love, and fertility. Charge a bowl of strawberries under the light of the full moon and consume them the following day to possess the power of the moon inside you.

“Light a few pink & white candles…make a circle of flowers and strawberries…sit or stand in the circle visualizing them protecting you…know that you are safe and relaxed… breathing deeply, close your eyes and feel the power of the moon pouring into your circle into you.”

Strawberry Full Moon Ritual Wash

Fill a medium-sized tub with fresh water taken from either the ocean, a lake, a river, or simply rainwater. Add seasonal flowers, strawberry leaves if available, and any preferred herbs. Leave the bowl outside in the sun for the day. At night, as the sun goes down, form a circle of candles around you and dip your hands in the bowl, start brushing your hands in a downwards motion from your head along your entire body. While cleansing, think about the changes you are making, and are experiencing...the purpose is to let the light and warmth inside you merge with the moon’s energies. Once done, step out of your circle and end the ritual. Do not forget to blow out the candles!!!

World Ocean Day

"Every time I slip into the ocean, it's like going home."

~Sylvia Earle

June 8th is World Ocean Day. It is amazing to comprehend the vast power of the sea and the goddesses that reside within, like my mother, Yemaya…they create, destroy, ebb, and flow...just like life itself. The ocean is not just a backdrop to our lives; it’s the breath of the Earth, a source of food, healing, and balance. Saving our seas means protecting this sacred rhythm, so future generations can still hear its whispers, feel its power, and be shaped by its beauty.

Yemaya: Mother of the Ocean, Guardian of Life…She is the revered Yoruba matriarch of the sea, women, motherhood, and fertility. She embodies unconditional love, deep self-acceptance, and nurturing energy for all who call upon her. Her waters cleanse not only the body, but the soul.

Glimmering with shimmering starlight...the ocean will always be home.  It is magickal, calling something within us, and we forget all our worries. When facing the sea, my mind becomes calm to the point of whispering, thinking, if at all. I need nothing else and nothing more during the moments I am with her. So I stare into Mother Ocean joyfully, knowing I am complete.

Yemaya, Mistress of the Moon,
Shine Your light onto me and fill me with your magic.
Help me accomplish my goals
I ask You to fill me with Your Healing Energy
Let Your Cleansing Waters wash over me, Heal me with Your Regenerative Powers

Align yourself with the wildness of the water and benefit from its powers of healing, magick, and renewal.  When life closes in & we feel as if we are drowning, She is there to remind us that water supports us; we do not need to go under...

And to honor the Goddess Herself

Yemaya Sacred Ritual Perfume
The rich & sultry scent of sandalwood, vanilla & vetiver is layered with the lingering tones of ylang ylang with lilac and honeysuckle essences. And if that isn't decadent enough, the whole mélange is infused with a delicious chypre. These particular oils always speak to me individually, but together they sing in perfect harmony!

Yemaya Ritual
Small blue or white candle, small watermelon & head to the beach (lake or river will work)

1. Cut a well into the small melon.
2. Dress the candle using fertility oils & herbs of your preference. Hold the candle in your hands, infusing and charging with your desires and intentions.
3. Insert the small candle into the watermelon & light it, then send it out to sea. Your petition should be made to Yemaya all the while. Please make sure that your candles are environmentally and eco- safe. polluting Yemaya's holy sea with toxic materials won't earn you any points.

Close your ritual by thanking the Goddess of the sea, as well as your guides. Spend some time allowing yourself to sit in silent meditation, listening to the sounds of the waves as they are moved and controlled, as are, we are by the illuminated moon in all of its splendor!

Gemini New Moon

Picture

welcome beautiful souls

✨ Ready to skip into Gemini season and dance with the stars? ✨

Beginning May 20 and lasting until the Summer Solstice on June 21, the Sun transitions from earthy Taurus into the lively and intellectual air sign of Gemini. This shift invites movement, curiosity, and fresh ways of thinking. It’s a season of ideas, conversations, and new connections—a breath of fresh air after Taurus’s rooted stillness.

The New Moon in Gemini rises on May 26th, blending lunar magick with a spark of mischief. This is not just any moon—think of it as a shimmering key, opening doors to better conversations, curious adventures, and playful reinvention. Gemini, the sign of the twins, carries ancient wisdom: one twin rooted in the real world, the other dancing among the stars. You hold both within you—the grounded and the spiritual dreamer. Embrace both sides, speak your truth, and let yourself wander between both worlds.

This Gemini New Moon opens a portal inviting you to hit the reset button on your thoughts, conversations, and the stories you tell yourself. It’s a cosmic moment to get curious, ask new questions, and open your mind to perspectives you may have overlooked. Ruled by Mercury, Gemini brings a burst of mental clarity and energy, making it an ideal time to set intentions around communication, learning, writing, and social connection. Expect mental stimulation and new ways of seeing the world around you.

New Moons always invite renewal—however, this is not a call for sweeping reinvention, but an attunement to the quiet pulse of something new stirring within you. It does not shout. It arrives softly—through the quiet click of inner truths falling into place. This is not the New Moon that asks for perfection. It asks only for your presence as you find the courage to begin, to give voice to what longs to be heard. To reimagine what is possible in places that have felt stuck, silenced, or weary. Let it take hold. As your mind awakens… your heart will begin to dream again.

Reflections…Tonight, clear your space with the ancient smoke of sage, cedar, or palo santo—let it spiral through the corners, carrying away what no longer serves. Light your candles and invite the element of fire to hold space for transformation. Gather your favorite crystals—those that speak to your spirit—and place them near, like allies for the soul. Let music fill the air, something soft and stirring, something that opens the gateway between worlds. Then…Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Inhale the present. Exhale the past. Let your breath become a spell. Feel yourself drop gently into stillness. This is your moment to listen—to the silence, to the spaces in between, to the whisper of your own becoming.

Connect with the Element of AirGemini is an air sign, so consider dancing barefoot on the wind by the sea or lake, flowing through pranayama (breath) practice, or doing a sound meditation to move and release stagnant energy. Using incense or other smoke rituals during your New Moon in Gemini rituals can enhance the ambiance, elevate your senses, and help you focus your intentions.

Since this is a time for planting seeds, why not plant a…. Magickal Moon Garden

What could be more enchanting than cultivating your own Moon Garden? Honoring the moon goddess in all her glory with a fragrant & luminous evening garden. Many night-blooming flowers are white and rely on strong fragrance, rather than bright colors. Plant night-bloomers near a bedroom window, where the breeze can carry the fragrance indoors right into your dreams.

Plant them in a circle to mimic the Moon-they look terrific alongside silver-foliaged Lambs ears and Artemisia. Illuminated only by moonlight, pale flowers and foliage add a dreamy, ethereal feeling. Place some crystals in the soil surrounding these pale beauties to energize them for meditation and spells. Do not forget when you take from a plant, to ask its permission and give thanks, an offering of water or another planting is a perfect thank you.

May 2025 Full Flower Moon

Picture

Hello beautiful souls!

Prepare to bloom under May’s enchanting Flower Moon in Scorpio, a celestial event that casts a clarifying light on what truly deserves your energy. Reaching its peak brightness on May 12 at 12:56 PM ET (6:56 PM CT), this Full Moon cuts through distraction with focused intensity, urging you to let go of what no longer serves your growth. Though it reaches fullness during the day, the moonrise that evening promises a breathtaking display—you might even catch the moon glowing in soft yellow or coral hues as its light is scattered by Earth’s atmosphere. ✨, Picture The May Full Moon, is referred to as the Flower Moon, because it beautifully embodies the abundance and renewal of spring with the season’s explosion of blooming flowers. Mirroring nature’s blossoming, Scorpio’s influence brings emotional depth, encouraging you to reflect and reconnect with what truly matters.

With Mercury in steady Taurus squaring off against Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, expect some mental friction. Mercury rules communication, while Pluto governs hidden truths and power dynamics—together, they stir the pot. This alignment may push you to confront outdated beliefs, unproductive thought patterns, or controlling influences that have outstayed their welcome. Consider the Flower Moon as a turning point—it may feel a bit jarring at first, but keep in mind that whatever emerges during this Flower Moon is merely the beginning of something greater and more remarkable. Whatever is coming, the Full Moon in Scorpio is here to help you step into the next chapter with fresh energy and unshakable self-belief.

Scorpio is a sign renowned for its intensity and transformative power within the zodiac. Its unwavering water energy beckons us to dive deep into your emotions, your relationships and your career...bringing the tough stuff to the forefront, leaving no room for hiding.  Don’t shy away from her shadows, instead lean in for that is where the real transformation and magic unfolds…Because…this moon is a portal…a doorway... a threshold.

✨, Picture Each year on the May Full Moon we also honor Hecate and the Rite of Her Sacred Fires. She is a Triple Goddess as well as guardian of the Crossroads, as She can look three ways at one time.  Hecate’s themes are the moon, beginnings and magick. Hecate rules the moon and opportunities. She opens the path through which the old departs and the new enters. On this May Full Moon, She lights a torch, illuminating the way to the future. As you move through the coming changes, let the Goddess light your path.

Blessed be ♡

Making Moon Water on the Flower Moon

  • On the night of the full moon, place a clear quartz crystal in a jar of purified water. (Can also be made by the gallon).

  • You can add edible herbs and flowers to your water, like roses for love (including self-love) or lavender for cleansing.

  • Place the vessel outside in a clear moonlit spot, making sure the jar is covered.

  • When morning arrives, your water will be charged with lunar energy. Drink a bit every morning for body, mind & soul balance.

The moon charged waters can also be used to charge crystals, cleanse your energetic body and remove stagnant energy by use in your diffuser.

Beltane…The Festival of Love…The Dance of Life

Beltane…The Festival of Love…The Dance of Life

The ancient Gaelic Festival of Beltane will awaken on May 1, heralding a time of magick, passion and renewal. With its roots deeply planted in Celtic traditions, Beltane is embraced by many modern pagans and witches as a time to honor the earth and the cycles of nature, of growth and of connectivity. The festival will officially begin on April 30th at sundown when the sacred fires of Beltane blaze once more, marking the vibrant midpoint between spring equinox and summer solstice. As the Wheel of the Year turns, Beltane stands opposite Samhain, marking the division between summer and winter, just as Ostara and Mabon separate the light and dark halves of the year. On this day, the veils thin and the faeries roam freely; it is a time for lovers' whispers, beauty rites, and secret meetings with the unseen ones. Sacred wells and shimmering ponds became portals to the Otherworld, offering visions and blessings to those willing to peer beyond the veil. Beltane is the third and most potent of the Spring Festivals.

As the sun’s power rises, Beltane weaves the sacred union of the Goddess and the God. Their divine alchemy stirs the fires of life inviting us to honor the sacred marriage of light and dark, masculine and feminine, body and spirit. Traditionally, Beltane became a time for a handfasting, with lovers blessing the earth while pledging themselves to one another. Around the vibrant Maypole, dancers wove colorful ribbons, weaving together the energies of the divine feminine and masculine in joyful harmony…because at Its heart the sabbat is a celebration of passion, pleasure, and life force itself.

Lighting fires was a central custom at Beltane. Traditionally, a Beltane fire was built using the nine sacred woods of the Celts. On Beltane Eve, all hearth fires were extinguished and rekindled the next day from the sacred "need fires" lit especially for the festival. Whether alone or entwined with another, dancing beneath the Beltane fires awakens your spirit to the wild rhythms of spring and the magick of transformation.

Now, in this sacred space between seasons, may you dance with the faeries, weave dreams into reality, and awaken your heart, spirit, and soul to the sacred fire of life."

Blessed Beltane!

New Moon April 27

Hello beautiful souls,

The New Moon in Taurus—earthy, sensual, and steeped in the divine feminine—arrives on April 27th at 3:31 PM (ET), just days after Earth Day. This beautiful synchronicity is a sacred reminder of our deep-rooted connection to the Earth. We are not separate from nature; we are intricately woven into its living tapestry. This lunation calls us to remember who we are and where we belong. Under the sacred veil of the Taurus New Moon, a portal opens.

 A holy pause… A breath between worlds.

This lunation is a temple…earth-bound, body-led, soul-deep.  It beckons you to slow, to soften, to settle.  To return to the altar of the present moment.

Taurus calls for us to reweave our lives with what is true and lasting: Reverence for the Earth & respect for the body.  Rituals that root us in the sacredness of all life. Now is the time to anoint all layers of your being with care.  Light your candles.  Offer prayers to the stones, the waters, the trees.  Whisper to your ancestors.  Listen to your bones. This is a time of spiritual rooting.  Let your roots reach deep into the Earth’s womb.  Let this blessed Moon guide you back—not just to yourself, but to the ancient knowing that you are the Earth, and the Earth is sacred. As Earth Day ushers in this New Moon, we are reminded that our personal healing is woven into planetary healing.

Our breath is not separate from the wind, our bodies are not separate from this precious planet.
In a world that constantly pulls our attention outward, this New Moon is a soft, steady invitation to return inward—to the breath, the body, and the living Earth beneath our feet. As we move through the very real and challenging situations we are facing, may we not lose our inner sight and remember the Feminine way, the ancient rhythm that teaches us to dance with the unknown…to find stillness within and grace as we change.

This is a moment to nourish yourself on every level. Ask yourself:

  • What rituals will restore your immune system?
  • What sacred pauses will soothe your nervous system?
  • What devotions will honor your heart and mind?

Sink into your spiritual roots. May this Earth-blessed New Moon guide you back home—to yourself, to healing, to your truth, and to the sacred pulse of the planet.

And for all you yogis reading this post, you might remember that the moon is highly related to Lord Shiva as he has a half moon on his head as a symbol. By offering prayers to Lord Shiva, and by repeating the mantra Om Namah Shivaya, you can accelerate the healing process of this new moon.

Finally, here is a Taurus body-love yoga ritual…

Another month, another Full Moon!

Hello beautiful souls!!!

Another month, another Full Moon! This important Full Moon dawns on April 12th (8:22 pm EST) in my favorite delightfully balanced air sign. When the Moon transits an astrological sign, it carries the traits of that particular sign. So, embrace the power of the Pink Moon, sweeties, because April is Libra time!!!

To all you genuine through-and through-Libra souls, there is no mistaking us! As the artists, peacemakers, and lovers of the zodiac, we live by those scales of justice, always striving for balance and harmony. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love, we are naturally drawn to connection. This moon is a gentle reminder to lead with our hearts, for at the core of it all, love is all that truly matters.

With the world being in a state of chaos, many find themselves becoming unraveled, fearful and indecisive.

It is time to ask yourself:

  • In which relationships am I sacrificing my authenticity to maintain peace?
  • What part of me fears being seen completely, flaws and all?
  • Which emotional wounds are calling out for healing?

Now is the moment to release everything that’s disrupting your inner balance. Relationships will feel more intense, and you might find it challenging to stay your diplomatic self. This energy will be amplified just an hour later when Venus goes direct in Pisces. As Venus moves forward, it’s time to follow what truly feels right in your heart!

As the wheel of the year turns, we enter priestess season, the sacred time between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. The Libra priestess embodies awakening, emerging, and stepping into our truest, most authentic selves—living in alignment with our soul. On this healing journey, you may begin to assess your relationships, offering the perfect chance to release any cosmic clutter you've been carrying. This is not a passive moon, it’s a sacred recalibration that is spiritually destined, urging us to reflect, release, and reimagine the stories we’ve allowed ourselves to carry about love and worthiness and evolve with self-respect. This Libra Full Moon isn’t about achieving perfection—it’s about showing up as our whole, authentic selves. It offers a chance to break free from patterns that keep love at surface level and step into a deeper, more honest, and mutually fulfilling connection. Under this moonlight, we’re not being asked to fix ourselves or others; we’re being invited to explore where we can approach things differently. It’s time to create a new universe within, breaking old patterns and habits. You might know exactly what you want to achieve, or you might not—either way, don’t worry. Simply let Luna’s energy flow through your mind, body, and spirit to cleanse, heal, and recharge you... and from here, we rise.

Until next month, my loves...Stay in your magick

Candle Ritual

Light a candle with intention, and gently read your reflections aloud—whether to yourself or to the Moon. Let your voice be the witness to your own truth. Then, tear out a page or a phrase that feels like a release, and either burn it or bury it as an offering to the universe. Place one hand on your heart and speak these words:

“I choose truth and tenderness. I choose to include myself in love. I am worthy of taking up space in my relationships and in my life.”

Let this ritual be a reminder that you are safe to soften, and that your clarity is a powerful force. The healing lies in the decision to remain connected to your truth, your heart, and your sacred inner wisdom.

New Moon

Hello beautiful souls…

Welcome to the enchanting energy of the March New Moon!

On March 29th, the Aries moon rises at 3:58 am PT/ 6:58 am ET, unveiling a celestial spectacle—doubling as both a partial solar eclipse and a supermoon. (Supermoons sit closer to Earth, intensifying their energetic pull). This powerful lunation marks the first solar eclipse of the year and the last eclipse in Aries until October 2032. The ancient wisdom of "As above, so below" resonates deeply during this time, reminding us that each New Moon acts as a cosmic download—where the Sun and Moon engage in a sacred exchange, calling us to awaken the parts of ourselves that have been buried, silenced, or patiently waiting for the right moment to emerge.

Aries is the archetype who dares to begin before knowing how it will unfold.  The energy of this moon will ripple through our lives like a bold and fiery reset that is calling us to reclaim our will, our voice, and our right to step into our passion. Fearless and fiery, our March New Moon calls for bold leaps and renewed purposes, urging us to look within and embrace self-love as the foundation for our journey forward. Love is the sacred current that moves the universe forward, and the more we release it from within, the more we are carried by its divine flow.

The spring season is always a time of renewal and rebirth, and Aries season is no exception. As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries is quick to act, but the retrograde planets (Mercury, Venus, and Mars still in its post-retrograde shadow) remind us that there is power in taking a step back to reflect, reconsider, and realign with our deeper truths. The fire of Aries burns away hesitation, inviting us to rewrite our identities, redefine our self-expression, and break free from outdated versions of ourselves.

Awakening the Wild Feminine:

With Lilith sitting in Virgo during this Aries New Moon, something deeper is awakening. Lilith represents our raw, untamed feminine; the part of us that refuses to be silenced, suppressed, or molded to fit society’s expectations. She is what Carl Jung called “The Shamanistic Anima”—She is the key to healing the soul. Aries is a force of unapologetic willpower, a sign that acts without seeking permission. Together, these cosmic forces form a divine call to rise. Together, this is an awakening of inner power, and an initiation into owning every part of who we are: unfiltered, untamed, and unapologetic.

This is going to be a transformative time so… find your passion…set your goals… and bring that fire forth into the light of spring!

Moon Water Ritual: Using Water as a Magickal Conduit

Moon water is a simple yet powerful tool that absorbs the New Moon’s energy, making it a versatile medium for spiritual work. Directions: Place a jar of purified water outside or by a windowsill to absorb the New Moon’s energy overnight. To enhance its power, add herbs like mint (for clarity), basil (for abundance), or rosemary (for protection). Leave overnight, then strain. Use for:

  • Anointing – Use it to anoint your third eye, wrists, or tools before rituals.

  • Drinking – Add a few drops to tea or water to internalize the energy of the New Moon.

  • Cleansing – Use it to cleanse crystals, altars, or ritual tools.

  • Bathing – Add to your bath to create a magickal immersion experience.

Mirror Scrying: A Portal to the Unseen

A sacred art practiced by mystics and wise women, mirror scrying under a New Moon unveils the veiled—offering glimpses into hidden truths, forgotten dreams, and whispers from the beyond.

As the veil thins, the mirror becomes a portal, reflecting not just your image, but the depths of your subconscious.

1. Prepare the Sacred Space
Enter a quiet realm-dim the lights, ignite candles, burn, or diffuse some fragrant mugwort or frankincense—awakening the senses and attuning the spirit.

2. Choose Your Mirror
A black mirror is ideal, as its depths absorb the unseen, but a regular mirror in a dimly lit room will also suffice. Ensure its surface is cleansed, ready to receive the messages that wish to unfold.

3. Set Your Intention
Whisper your purpose to the mirror, whether seeking guidance, revelation, or a glimpse of what lies ahead. Close your eyes, still your thoughts, and open your spirit to receive.

4. Enter the Trance
Sit with the mirror before you, at eye level. Let your gaze soften, breathing deeply as the edges of your vision blur. Surrender to the flow—do not seek, only allow. The mirror will reveal in its own time.

5. Receive the Visions
Shapes shift, shadows stir, and symbols emerge-Trust What You See—whether fleeting figures, shifting colors, or whispers in your mind’s eye.

6. Seal the Portal
When the vision fades, offer gratitude—to the mirror, to the energies that spoke to the universe itself. Ground your being—touch the earth, drink water, return fully. Cleanse the mirror with smoke or moonlight, readying it for the next journey. With time and practice, the mirror becomes more than glass—it is an oracle, a doorway, a trusted guide.

Ostara

On March 20th, we celebrate the Spring Equinox and festival of Ostara- the first day of Spring in the northern hemisphere, marking the end of Winter.  Ostara is a pagan celebration of the German goddess Eostre and the origins of the Christian celebration of Easter. Eggs are symbolic of fertility and decorated to celebrate new life. Rabbits symbolize the mating of hares and are used as a totem of the moon goddess in many cultures.

This is a time of renewal...when night and day masculine/feminine, God & Goddess are in perfect balance. It is time to celebrate the rebirth of the soil and the land. The energy of this time will be heightened by the Total Lunar Eclipse/Blood Moon occurring just 6 days before on March 14th. Although this Eclipse is almost a week from the Equinox, we tend to feel Eclipses up to a month before and a month after they arrive.

As we transition out of hibernation and into the light of spring, it is important to remember that this season also marks the awakening of the goddess. In Greek mythology it is Persephone, goddess of the soul, who is the harbinger of spring and a reminder of all the growth and hope that it brings. She promotes confidence, power, healing, and feminine mysteries...the woman who is beginning to consciously decide for herself.

In the traditions of the Wise Woman, Ayurveda, and Magick, springtime is considered the most crucial time of the year to do a cleanse. Our bodies are the embodiment of the goddess, and it is essential to honor and care for them during this time. So, as we open our hearts to the fresh new breath of spring, let us stand in our center, plant our roots, ground ourselves, and allow the spirits of the green world to guide us to places filled with true magick. Let us embrace the season of rebirth and growth with a deep inner cleanse, reconnecting with our inner goddess and embracing the beauty of the natural world around us.

Blessed Be
