Where Our Journey Began

Ours began in a small seaside town along the New Jersey shore, where the rhythm of the tides, the scent of salt air, and the healing energy of the ocean quietly shaped a lifelong love of the botanical world. Today, that journey continues in the beautiful Florida Keys, where the sea still inspires everything I create.

For us, it has always begun with water.

Long before Blue Moon existed, I was captivated by the healing power of plants, herbs, and essential oils. My grandmother first introduced me to the wisdom of nature, ancient traditions, and the quiet magic woven through the botanical kingdom. Those early lessons planted seeds that would stay with me for a lifetime.

Then, in 1987, everything changed.

A cancer diagnosis turned my world upside down. Like so many life-altering moments, it arrived unexpectedly, bringing fear, uncertainty, and countless questions. Yet it also became the doorway to a deeper path of healing-one rooted in herbalism, aromatherapy, Reiki, energy healing, ritual, and the sacred relationship between people and plants.

As I learned, healed, and grew, I found myself creating botanical blends not only for my own well-being but for family, friends, and eventually others seeking a more natural and intentional way of living.

In 1992, those humble beginnings blossomed into Blue Moon Herbals & Aromatics, created at my kitchen table with a simple dream: to share the extraordinary gifts of nature with others.

More than three decades later, that same intention still guides every bottle we create.

We remain a woman-owned, woman-crafted apothecary devoted to authenticity, education, and uncompromising quality. We never use synthetic fragrance oils or shortcuts. Every blend begins with pure therapeutic essential oils, botanicals, resins, flower and gem essences, and carefully chosen crystals. Many of our ritual oils and perfumes are handcrafted in harmony with the moon's phases and infused with Reiki, ancient wisdom, herbal traditions, and planetary magick.
